SCHOLA Fellowship is a community designed to encourage, support, and equip families in their educational journey. Our homeschool and preschool children meet together weekly during the school year in a God-glorifying, wonder-filled community to study a variety of subjects using Biblically-informed methods of education, including the pedagogical (how to teach) aspects of the Charlotte Mason method. We also provide an encouraging community to help parents bring up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord for a variety of educational styles and choices beyond homeschool.
Scripture is necessary and practically useful in the life of every believer. (2 Tim 3:16, Psa 119:9-12, 105, John 14:15)
Community is an integral aspect of the Christian life (Heb 10:24-25, Prov 27:17)
Humility is the cornerstone of a Christian’s heart attitude towards God and others. (Psa 25:9, James 4:10, Phil 2:3-8)
Order (as in Ordo Amoris) is the proper ordering of our affections towards what is true, worthy, and eternally valuable. (Phil 4:8, Matt 6:21, 1 Cor 3:9-15)
Love is the essence of God and the foundation of the believer's new heart towards God and his fellow man (Matt 22:37-40, John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:7-8)
Academics are a means by which to gain wisdom and see God in every area from nature to science to literature to art to music to dance. (Prov 4:7, 1 Cor 10:31, Phil 1:9-11)
Alongside our school-aged students, we offer weekly activities for preschoolers with community and mentorship for moms.
SCHOLA Fellowship meets weekly to engage in joyful, yet rigorous, academic studies that enrich our educational journeys and provide group learning settings that may be difficult to provide in a home learning setting.
In a desire to serve all parents and families in their educational journey, we offer occasional community events and monthly parent discussions.
